Lorenzo Snow Davies

1899 - 1987

Lorenzo Snow Davies was born in Millard, Hinckley, Utah on 3 Apr 1899 to Thomas Davies and Mary Ann Cooper.

On his first birthday, his family left Utah and relocated to Southern Alberta, initially settling in Cardston area.


Lorenzo attended school at Utah State University and the Agricultural School in Claresholm.  He served an LDS mission in Eastern Canada in 1921 -1923.


Lorenzo married Mary Phyllis Fisher in the Cardston  temple 14 Oct 1925.  They had eight children born between 1926 and 1942.


Lorenzo worked hard his entire life, with road construction, farming and driving wagons and trucks, and hauling timber among his many occupations.


On 22 Feb 1967, Lorenzo and Phyllis were set apart as Carston Temple workers.  In 1971, Lorenzo was set apart as a sealer by Joseph Fielding Smith.


Phyllis died in Cardston on 6 Aug 1980.  After Phyllis died, Lorenzo was very lonely and married Dorothea Williston on 28 Dec 1980.


Lorenzo passed away in Cardston on 8 Feb 1987.
