The family, including Mary Ann Jones, moved to Southern Alberta in 1900 after being called by Francis M. Lyman, President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles, to relocate to Canada.  They settled in a small town outside of Cardston called Beazer.

The family lived in a number of towns across Southern Alberta including Spring Coulee, Raymond (with land in Taber), Cochrane Ranch, and Hills Spring.

Thomas died on 9 September 1940 in Cardston.

Two of the documents below were written by Lorenzo Snow Davies, their second youngest son.  There is a short version and a longer version. The third document is a journal Thomas kept while on a mission in 1885 and 1886.
